Meet the Staff

Brian Kenning (Senior Pastor) & Zoe J.

Brian and his family have been living in Southland for almost 25 years ! He likes preaching (and does) and leads the team at ICBC. You can find him at the local gym on occasion, or working in his garden, or playing golf (though probably not as often as he'd like). He loves playing with his grandchildren, and both loves and is married to Zoe J.   

 

 

 

David   McKenzie

David has been working as a youth pastor extraordinaire for ICBC for more than 10 years. In his past lives he has worked as a farmer and a builder. He looks after the worship in Song at ICBC. Plays a mean guitar and like to say that "God loves a Trier".

 

 

 

 

 

 

Colin Wood

Colin and his family shifted to Invercargill from Christchurch where he used to pastor at Ilam Baptist Church. Now working at ICBC he's keen to see people grow in Jesus. He's getting used to the Southland weather, goes Mountain biking when he can and enjoys time with family (Linda, Eleanor & Caitlin).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Derrick Hills

Derrick and his wife Jill enjoy walking , tramping and trail (cycle) riding. They have a family of four teenagers, one of whom (Campbell) is a Dunedin student and one (Nathan) who is physically disabled with muscular dystrophy. Gabrielle and Charlotte are both at high school. Derrick looks forward to time with his family.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Melanie Keith

Melanie loves hanging out with her husband Dug and their three kids. One day she'll go snowboarding again. In the meantime she is learning to express real coffee at home and enjoys experimenting with new recipes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Andrew Gudsell

Andrew has come down from Christchurch to experience real weather.  He's trained as a Chef and plays a mean game of Basketball. He's wants to see youth own their faith and grow up into mature Christians making a difference in the world. Yes you guessed it, he's our Youth Pastor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sharon Soper

Sharon is our Administrator and you'll find her sitting in the first office at Central. She's the one who makes sure things happen and that rooms aren't double booked. When you ring us, you'll probably speak to her first. She is married to David and they have two active teenage boys, (Ben and Chris). They live on a farmlet at Tisbury and enjoy being (just out of town).

 

These are the staff, but the people of ICBC are the gold.
